I'm not kidding when i say there's not much change to that place, except maybe for the worse? The pirate train ride was spoilt, yet they still let people in. The lights and mechanical movements of the dummies were missing. The dinosaur head in Dinosaur land was missing HAHAHA! But! They had new rides (as in from 8 years ago, you know.) the Flying Coaster- which seemed extremely fun! But Celisse was CHICKEN, then i didn't want to be seen sitting alone, so i gave it a missed >: Okay and it looked quite scary also. Hahaha! And there's the Viking Ship, my absolute favourite in any amusement park!   Except for the Space Shot (which i swore never to sit again, hahaha!) and those kiddish rides, we sat everything. My parents even took the Family coaster with us! Did i mention the Rolling Thundermine is a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT?! We had this impression it was the best ride, and it was only so-so :<        In about 4 hours, we got tired and exited the place. Headed indoors for some shopping and we went to the Ripley's Believe it Or Not exhibition at First World. For Sgd$9 only we got to see 500+ exhibitions in rooms that seem never ending i swear.          Then it was back to the room for nap then dinner! Dinner was at this Chinese Restaurant at Highland Hotel, which we used to patronised whenever we came in the past. Ahhh! Such memories!! Afterwards my parents left for casino and we went bowling again! Even after finishing 2 games, we stayed to watch people play while enjoying the good music! I still didn't manage to sleep well again the second night. Mahmudah said it's because of my insecurities that's why i have difficulties sleeping in hotel rooms. The last day was really short, left shortly after breakfast and shopping at Watson's (cheaper la!) I thought the trip was super fun and a good getaway! But if we were to stayed on for another day, i don't think we would have anything else to do. Hahaha! I love the cloudiness(?) at Genting also man! Can't wait to go again! (Would bring someone braver than Celisse go of cause. I want to sit Flying Coaster ha!)  Thursday, January 14, 2010 OO-MMM-GGGG! The MOST EMBARRASSING thing happened to me tday. I always laughed at others when this happens to them, and i got my retribution tday DD: So i had SOC294 this morning, and the guy from CSE (last sem) was in that class also. He's normally very popular and style. But tday he sat alone, then midway during lesson, he suddenly took a tiger cap- like REALLY tiger with the SOFT TOY HEAD cap out and wore it. So after class as i was exiting the toilet, i asked my friend- "That guy from our CSE class right?? Why he so strange sit alone then wear the tiger cap somemore??" RIGHT AFTER i finished my sentence and looked up, HE AND HIS GROUP OF FRIENDS WERE STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND THEY HEARD EVERYTHING CAUSE THEY WERE LAUGHINGGGGG. Oommmgggg at that moment i JUST wanted the floor to open and swallow me!!! And guess my first reaction was to slide back into the toilet and hide OOOOO-MMMM-GGGG. So throw face!! Lesson learnt nv gossip LOUDLY without looking around first manxszxs! On the other hand, tday also was an excellent day! (except i was late for lesson) BUT because of that, after i came in and tapped my card, i turned to look at J's direction (his usual seat) and he was looking at me!! :> I have 2 modules with him this semester! Super lucky :> i thought after SOC101, probably won't have class tgt alr, cause we're from different batches :> fate manxszx! (HAHAHA HUA CI) Ah but just an eyecandy only! I bet his type is the sportyhotty kind! In addition, Marilyn passed me my SS501 poster and file tday. AWWWWWW super happy! :> Might blog about my current obsession with SS501, more specifically it's KIM HYUN JOONG♥♥ another time :> Fyi i've never idolise any celebrity before, at least for as long as i can remember!   School is super busy. Unlike last semester, i have 5 modules instead of 4. And i took on 2 writing classes, cause Media Writing is only offered this sem, and dropped PSY101. But my timetable is better, no more three 5 hour breaks per week. Now only once, every thurs. And i end school only at 530pm on Tues and Thurs. Last sem i did pretty well :> although i was aiming for all As! For COM101: B+, SOC101: A, CSE111: A, ESL407: B. Total GPA is 3.61 Like for COM blog i got 89/100 (so far only heard another one person got this mark and no higher) for this have to thank all those who really helped me comment, especially Benja and Sherman! For my SOC mid term i got 94/100 also, for some CSE papers also scored full marks. So yes really proud of myself!! But if you're thinking SIM papers are easier, that's completely not true. Because there are people who did badly. Textbooks are crazy this sem, most of the modules are using new edition textbooks, which means i can't buy 2nd hand from Jacinda. So in total spent $210 alr. Most heart pain thing is they can only be used for one sem (3-4 months!) Tml driving going to learn parallel parking! Can't wait!! Update 2nd part of Genting over the weekends :D Saturday, January 9, 2010 DAY ONE Genting Highlands, 8 years later. My last trip to Genting Highlands was actually 8 years ago! And it was so so amazing (in a good and bad way) to find that the place's almost unchanged :) This trip was different from the others, because this is the first time my dad drove us up alone depending just on his GPS. The ride took about approx 5-6 hours? We left on Wed morning 8am and reached our destination safely around 1pm.     Nearly had heart attack at the speed we were going, the fastest he hit was 157km/h can?! We overtook so many cars, i thought the m'sian cars were going to gang up and get their revenge- super having mean world syndrome (sociology) HAHAHA! Had fun playing out my favourite scene in Brother Bear: "I spy with my little eye.. something green. Tree. Tree. Tree." HAHAHA! And spotting S'pore cars from the license plates. We didn't make any bookings in advance also, then so unlucky Resort World Hotel got no more rooms! So when left with the choice of either First World Hotel or Theme Park Hotel, we decided to try the newer one. And OOO-M-G. The rooms are- FAILED. 1. Walls are bloody not sound proof. How do i know? BECAUSSEE, the first night when the room was silent, we heard this thumping sound. Hmm Processor? Machine? Someone jumping upstairs? "Thump thump thump" Then when we realise it was a tempo, suddenly we heard.. "BOOM BOOM BOOM GOTTA GET THAT" WWWHHATT THEEE!?! Like how to sleep with the music blasting from next door who went on to play songs. We can hear every single word! In the end i called the reception, which got the security to get them to shut up. I heard them speaking chinese (SEE can hear their conservation when the door is closed somemore! And everyone who walks pass our door at weird hours.) 2. The luggage table so small can put one luggage only. And their soap is what, 3-IN-1?! It's the hand soap, also the shampoo, also the body wash?!?! Luckily got Watson's in the lobby! 3. Breakfast sucks also, although free lah but they like have super limited choices, and they don't change their menu, dishes served. So i had german sausage, egg, egg, etc, orange juice for 2 days.    Oh yes yes, upon checking in, had lunch at Kenny Rogers. Before we went back for nap and night activites, in summary was, took a walk outside, dinner at Sushi King (OMG super good), bowling (!!!) and trying to smuggle us in the Casino hahaha! First about bowling, OOOO-M-G! The OMG-ness of the place is because, it was a bowling alley which had the lights off, glow-in-the-dark prints, spinning disco lights and FABULOUS music blasting! Plus they had a fantastic remix of Bad Romance! (yesss! i found it on youtube!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd2c76nTCbI) And i have a superduper hilarious video of Celisse bowling which can be found on facebook HAHAHA!   And on the smuggling us in Casino part. HAHAHA DAMN FUNNY! So my dad asked us to not look at the guard in the eye, and quickly walk past. TWICE we got stopped (two different gate). So i confidently give him my IC, i'm 21 what- THIS march. Hahaha. And my dad told them Celisse was 23 years old (actual age 18) and her IC is in the hotel room. HAHAHA! But anyway on the second try, that guard actually let us in cause after my dad sweet talked him. Hahaha! So i had my first experience in a casino! Hmm words to describe: smoky, uncle, aunty, green carpet, smoky, super many different kind of jackpot, smoky. Nah didn't gamble! Afraid the first guard would spot us! And i remember being desperate for internet. Hotel had totally no internet facilities. Only can get wifi at Starbucks. And so happen their router was down for a few days!!
