DAY ONE Genting Highlands, 8 years later. My last trip to Genting Highlands was actually 8 years ago! And it was so so amazing (in a good and bad way) to find that the place's almost unchanged :) This trip was different from the others, because this is the first time my dad drove us up alone depending just on his GPS. The ride took about approx 5-6 hours? We left on Wed morning 8am and reached our destination safely around 1pm.     Nearly had heart attack at the speed we were going, the fastest he hit was 157km/h can?! We overtook so many cars, i thought the m'sian cars were going to gang up and get their revenge- super having mean world syndrome (sociology) HAHAHA! Had fun playing out my favourite scene in Brother Bear: "I spy with my little eye.. something green. Tree. Tree. Tree." HAHAHA! And spotting S'pore cars from the license plates. We didn't make any bookings in advance also, then so unlucky Resort World Hotel got no more rooms! So when left with the choice of either First World Hotel or Theme Park Hotel, we decided to try the newer one. And OOO-M-G. The rooms are- FAILED. 1. Walls are bloody not sound proof. How do i know? BECAUSSEE, the first night when the room was silent, we heard this thumping sound. Hmm Processor? Machine? Someone jumping upstairs? "Thump thump thump" Then when we realise it was a tempo, suddenly we heard.. "BOOM BOOM BOOM GOTTA GET THAT" WWWHHATT THEEE!?! Like how to sleep with the music blasting from next door who went on to play songs. We can hear every single word! In the end i called the reception, which got the security to get them to shut up. I heard them speaking chinese (SEE can hear their conservation when the door is closed somemore! And everyone who walks pass our door at weird hours.) 2. The luggage table so small can put one luggage only. And their soap is what, 3-IN-1?! It's the hand soap, also the shampoo, also the body wash?!?! Luckily got Watson's in the lobby! 3. Breakfast sucks also, although free lah but they like have super limited choices, and they don't change their menu, dishes served. So i had german sausage, egg, egg, etc, orange juice for 2 days.    Oh yes yes, upon checking in, had lunch at Kenny Rogers. Before we went back for nap and night activites, in summary was, took a walk outside, dinner at Sushi King (OMG super good), bowling (!!!) and trying to smuggle us in the Casino hahaha! First about bowling, OOOO-M-G! The OMG-ness of the place is because, it was a bowling alley which had the lights off, glow-in-the-dark prints, spinning disco lights and FABULOUS music blasting! Plus they had a fantastic remix of Bad Romance! (yesss! i found it on youtube!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd2c76nTCbI) And i have a superduper hilarious video of Celisse bowling which can be found on facebook HAHAHA!   And on the smuggling us in Casino part. HAHAHA DAMN FUNNY! So my dad asked us to not look at the guard in the eye, and quickly walk past. TWICE we got stopped (two different gate). So i confidently give him my IC, i'm 21 what- THIS march. Hahaha. And my dad told them Celisse was 23 years old (actual age 18) and her IC is in the hotel room. HAHAHA! But anyway on the second try, that guard actually let us in cause after my dad sweet talked him. Hahaha! So i had my first experience in a casino! Hmm words to describe: smoky, uncle, aunty, green carpet, smoky, super many different kind of jackpot, smoky. Nah didn't gamble! Afraid the first guard would spot us! And i remember being desperate for internet. Hotel had totally no internet facilities. Only can get wifi at Starbucks. And so happen their router was down for a few days!!
